Forensic
Accountant/Financial Analyst
Searching for an individual at the senior
to manager level to join the Litigation Support Department. This
position provides directors of litigation support and business
valuation departments with financial data by researching and analyzing
client/industry data and preparing analyses summaries/reports.
Litigation work product used in such matters as bankruptcy, buy-sell
disputes, dissenting shareholder actions, economic damages, divorce,
personal injury, construction, and fraudulent conveyances. Valuation
work product to be used in such matters as succession planning,
gift/estate taxes, buy-sell agreements, capitalization and
recapitalizations, intangible asset licensing, litigation, Employee
Stock Ownership Plans, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and
pre-acquisition studies.
To qualify for this position, an applicant
must possess a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance and have a
minimum of 2 years (for Senior level or 5 years for Manager level) of
public accounting experience. CPA license and/or one or more
certifications as CFE, ABV, ASA, CVA, or CFA preferred (required for
Manager level). No exceptions to these qualifications.
Skills needed for this position include:
thorough knowledge of general and complex accounting principles and
application of accounting theory, research and reporting skills,
forecasting, financial diagnosis, analyzing information, business
knowledge, people skills especially in dealing with accountants,
attorneys, and other third parties, attention to detail,
deadline-oriented, ability to work independently, confidentiality,
thoroughness, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
